Donuts.com franchise, pop online and quickly order pick up from one of our four convenient locations, up to date selections for each of our stores! Or, browse our speciality donuts, come in, sit down, have a cup of joe with friends. Each of locations have plenty of seating, unique decor, and a relaxing atmosphere.

TASK
In class group project creating a the website architecture for a business, either e-commerce or brick and mortar. Our group, assigned “Donuts”, choose to develop a site for a brick and mortar franchise of four stores with the option to order online. Through the development of our personas and journey maps we created a site encouraged and facilitated the ease of use to order online for those on the go, but also featured our donuts and locations for our eat in customers.
Card Sort to FInal Site map
The design group was asked to come up with an initial card sort for our site. We then tested our card sort layout by having another team sort our categories independently and we made a first version site map based on the feedback from the other team. The final site map was based on this first card sort exercise as well as issues raised during user journey mapping and wireframe testing.


User Flow - Goal: Ordering Online
We wanted to make ordering as easy as possible so there are relatively few steps for the user to order and pay for donuts. If the user is a frequent visitor, they have the option make an account where their payment information and preferred orders and can be saved and used in one click.
Personas
The personas were built from the group collaborating on what Donuts.com primary users would be. Zach, fast and go, and Gertrude, a more leisurely diner. The personas were the critiqued by the rest of the groups as means of testing the personas.

The user journey maps were created and heavily discussed within the group to find roadblocks within Donuts.com.
Wireframes
Final Wireframes:
- A homepage with large tempting content, easily found links and several CTA's for ordering online
- Easily navigable online order menu form with floating navigation and cart on the sides and automatic update by entering a quantity of the user desired donuts. The donut selection is also directly tied to the selected store location.
- Simple form for the user to read their order and enter payment or log in to their account.
